Keeping Property Taxes Low for a Trust

by | Jul 25, 2018 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

When a Family Trust is created and one’s home is transferred into the name of the trust, it is important to submit a Homeowners Exemption application on behalf of the trust.

If that stepped is missed, then the county can eliminate the homeowners exemption which will cost the owner many hundreds of dollars per year until the exemption is re-established.

When your trust is created here at Peters Patchin & Associates, we will not only record the deed to move the home into the name of the trust, we will also prepare and file any application and other documents that may be needed to carry the homeowners exemption over to the trust.

We take care of these details so that you won’t need to worry about them.
