Cost of Estate Taxes?
Here’s great news! The tax reform act recently passed by Congress and signed by the president doubled the value of an estate that can now pass tax-free to your heirs.
An unmarried individual can now leave an estate with a value of $11 Million without any estate taxes or death taxes being payable thereon.
And a married couple can now usually leave an estate of twice that size — $22 Million – without any taxes being due from the heirs.
So, for the vast majority of us, we can arrange our estate planning affairs without any concern that our heirs will be required to pay taxes on the inheritance we leave.
